A Place Called Home

Deep inside us all there is a yearning to have a place where we can be free, a place where we can spend time with those we love and cherish. I grew up in an unstable household, frequent moves, and school changes, no mom or dad around, and I always yearned for a place to come home to on a consistent basis where no one could evict you. I remember seeing an educational film while in elementary school and there was a scene with a child flying his kite outside his beautiful house with grass to roam free. It was that moment that somehow that image conceptualized home to me. Now as a Follower of Christ, I know earth is not our home, but there is a heavenly place God created just for His children. I wrote this song to conceptualize that image from childhood, and to express that the ultimate place of love and warmth is in God's arms..."Love will find me, resting in your arms". I hope this song blesses whoever hears it. The heart of man cries out for a "better country" a home not made with hands..Hebrews 11: 16
